5 Top Ways To Improve Your Article Marketing

In this article I would like to share with you some of the best ways that I have used to improve my efforts from article marketing. Hopefully these ideas will help you as much as what they have helped me.

1) If you were anything like me then there is a good chance that you struggled to write your first few articles. A lot of people when they first start doing article marketing want to write about anything. To succeed with article marketing you need to focus on a very narrow topic. Get rid of your limiting beliefs. Also unwind and listen to some relaxing music to get your creative juices flowing. So often we struggle to write because our minds are not trained to do so.

2) Repeatedly people over emphasize the use of keywords in the articles and it hurts the search engine rankings and also the readability of the article. The search engines can easily make sure if the article is relevant to the keywords by the words that are being used.

3) It is significant that you build an electronic system for recording your ideas. Often you will get an idea for another article while you are writing an existing one and you will forget about the new idea. Now when you start writing an article from scratch you will wish that you recorded your original idea to save a lot of time. You will struggle to come up with original ideas when you need to deliberately think about them.

4) The primary purpose for your article is to capture your visitor's name and email address when they visit your web site. You need to capture a segment of the market that you can market to over and over again. Without a list of possible prospects for your business that you can sell to you will struggle to be successful with your internet business.

5) Submit your articles to all the main article directories. These will serve as backlinks to your website and will also increase your link popularity as the articles become viral in nature and get published by other websites.

Tips for Success With Article Marketing

The first step in article marketing is the submission process. Ezine publishers, article announcement lists and article directories are the most common places for submission. This will accomplish several things.

For starters, you will be considered as an expert in your field. This will establish a trust between you and the readers, as they will be able to value your opinions.

Submitting articles will also allow for greater publicity of your business. Submission requires a resource box to be attached to your article. This contains a link to your website that will be seen by the reader. If the reader wants to know more about what you do, they can simply click to see more.

Article marketing also allows for a non-reciprocal link to your website. This is important for your search engine page rank. Typically, more weight is given to non-reciprocal links in search engine page rankings.

So maybe this all sounds good to you, but you aren't comfortable writing your own articles. If you don't have the writing skills necessary, consider using private label articles. These are becoming more and more popular, and many of such services are available with new ones popping up all the time.

However, there are some specifications that need to be taken seriously. Otherwise the results produced may be problematic

The good thing about private label articles is that they may be able to offer the non-writer a high advantage over other markers. When used properly, they will likely increase your sales, traffic and opt in subscribers.

Be cautious of making the most common mistake known to private label articles: getting lazy. Put it in your mind from the start that copying and pasting the article for submission is a bad idea.

The majority of directory software will automatically do a search in their database to see if the title has been used before. If this is the case with an article that you submit, then yours will be rejected.

So, change the title at the very minimum. It's also recommended to change the wording in the first paragraph.

Another word of caution regards the number of links placed in your article. Many marketers will include so many links that the article just becomes an ad in a longer form. This will definitely get your rejected and maybe banned if it occurs too often.

The purpose of an article is to provide the reader with valuable and useful information. As long as your content is well written, the chances of the reader clicking on your link will increase.

Top Tips for Powerful Article Marketing

Distributing your articles (and press releases) in the right way is vital. These media releases are only half the process of getting publicity in media publications. Just like a website getting more sales from targeted visitors, you'll receive more benefit from readers of your media releases who are targeted and more inclined to buy from you.

To find the best way of distributing your articles, you first have to work out which method of distribution will result in the most publicity from your target market and this obviously requires you to work out just who they are. Research your past clients, carry out some questionnaires and use some good old common sense to answer the one simple question: "Who will buy what I have to offer?"

Our marketing assessments for example are reports which give tailored instructions and advice on how to implement and perfect a powerful marketing campaign. We are able to work out that the people most likely to buy our assessments are:

- Start-up business owners who need guidance on getting their marketing going.

- Business owners who have a new product/service they wish to launch a campaign for.

- Business owners who want a low-cost solution to improving and optimizing their current marketing.

All of these target markets are generally the same (business owners) but they each have a specific niche and can be marketed to in different ways for the most effective results.

As well as distributing articles, this concept should be applied to ALL of your marketing efforts.

Once you know who your ideal audience is you must then research the types of media publications they read. Again do some research and use some common sense to create a list of websites, newsletters, blogs, newspapers and magazines which your target markets are most likely to read.

If we take our marketing assessment market. Start-up business owners would be most likely to read entrepreneur magazines and newspapers, be part of start-up communities and generally participate in many entrepreneur/business forums and blogs. We can then further research specific publications which fit under these criteria.

Now we have exactly where we want our articles and press releases to appear.

The next stage is getting them there and this involves contacting suitable journalists with our releases. Check the websites and credit sections of your chosen media publications and contact them directly to find specific contact details of journalists which deal in your target market area.

For example in our chosen publications we would search for the business editor, a business journalist or nearest equivalent.

Once you have assembled your list of journo's and their contact details, it's time to get busy. Either phone up or drop them an E-mail, introduce yourself, explain a little bit about your story/article and ask if you can send them the article through E-mail. After this you can of course wait for a response or result. If you wait a few days to a week and see no result, just give them a call or drop an E-mail and ask how things are going.

Getting your article or press release out there as wide as possible always gives it the best chance of reaching media exposure. As well as personally targeting your selected media publications, you should also submit your article to distribution websites such as http://www.articlemarketer.com/. Many Journalists use such websites as a source of releases and yours may get picked up for additional coverage. Search on Google for similar websites to submit your articles to.

Article Marketing - Announcing 4 High Impact Secrets to Breakthrough with Article Marketing

Why do a lot of marketers resort to article marketing today? The reason is simple: They would like to establish their credibility and expertise while building links for their websites using the most trusted and cost-effective marketing tool online.

Here are the 4 high impact secrets to breakthrough with article marketing:

1. Identify your potential audience. Are you writing for men, women, or both? What do they do for a living? What information will they find useful in their lives? What writing style and terms they can easily relate to? The more you know about the people to whom you are writing for, the more effective you will become in creating content that is highly targeted to their needs and demands.

2. Focus on keywords. Each of your articles must be written around a single main keyword that is highly relevant to your chosen niche. You have to use this keyword at least 6 times on your content to make your articles optimized and highly searchable online.

3. Choose topics that are related to your products. The reason for this is very simple: if you want to drive interested people to your website, you have to talk about their needs that can only be addressed by your products. That means, if you are selling diet pills, writing about watches will not give you potential clients.

4. Your articles must be publisher-friendly. To increase the chances of your articles being posted online, make sure that they conform to the publishers' universal guidelines which are: your articles must not contain hyperlinks, blatant advertisements, and inappropriate content. They must also be well-written, content-rich, useful, targeted to the needs of your target market, and direct to the point. When you are able to incorporate all these elements on your articles, you will not only please the publishers but the online users as well.

Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 4 New Steps to Excel at Article Marketing

There are billions of marketers who are currently using article marketing as their primary marketing arm. With this number comes a stiff competition that every marketer must learn to deal with in order to survive online. In this article, I will impart the 4 new steps that will empower you to excel in this amazing marketing tool so you can take the lead and stand out from the rest.

1. Quality. This is the main element that will determine the success of your article marketing campaign. When you are able to write and distribute articles that are well-written, informative, and useful, people will most likely to pick them up and republish your content throughout the internet. This will boost the number of your inbound links that can lead to augment traffic and sales potential.

2. Quantity. There is never too much when it comes to article marketing. In fact, the more articles you write and publish, the more popular your website will get. Strive to write at least 7 articles per day which are enough to strengthen your online presence and expertise.

3. Titles. I missed a lot of good movies because they have lousy titles. My perception is, if the title is not that enticing, there is no way that the movie will be interesting. This is how most people think when they search for articles online. That is why, you must understand the importance of your titles and make them attention-grabbing so they can get more people to read and open you content.

4. Resource box. I have read a lot of good articles online but their great content wasn't enough to compel me to check the authors' website. Why? Because the authors did not take the time to make their resource box compelling. In fact, I have encountered some that has only the website's URL. No information about the author or why should I visit the website, so why should I?

Article Submission Secrets - 4 Things to Never Ever Do in the Resource Box of Your Articles

Here are 4 things to never ever do in your article resource box.

1. Don't put your phone number in there, and don't put your email address in there. If they want to contact you, get them back to your website or your blog, where they can email you or contact you.

2. The second thing not to do - and this sounds crazy, folks, but I've read articles where they've written about let's say gardening, and the resource box has invited them back to their race car site. I'm making up those categories, but the examples were as disparate as that. That makes no sense at all. Don't do that.

3. The other thing I've seen people do is put in what I call diverse domains in their resource box. You're allowed three active links back to your website or blog. If you've got multiple niches, fine, if you can handle them all. I've found over the last couple years that my business grew as I narrowed from multiple niches into one niche in article marketing.

Let's say you've got a niche in relationships and you're also an expert on civil war history, and you've written an article on relationships and there's a link in your resource box to your relationship site, but then you also throw one in there to your site on civil war trivia.

Huh? I guess that might be connected if you want to call some relationships a civil war, but basically those would be called diverse domains.

4. Here's the number one thing to never ever do in your resource box, and the one I see people trying to do the most, and that's trying to convince the reader in your resource box that you're the expert.

Now that sounds like a good use of a resource box. You want to list all your accomplishments and all your awards all the way back to first grade. But guess what, if you have not convinced the reader in your article that you're an expert, it is way too late to try to do so in the resource box.

They are probably not even going to be reading it anyway, because if you haven't demonstrated that you know what you're talking about in your article, it's very unlikely they're going to be reading your resource box.

Article Marketing - How to Tell a Fib in Your Resource Box for More Prospects from Your Articles

To make the most of your Article Marketing, you want to have a very powerful prospect pulling resource box. The problem is most article writers do not know how to craft a prospect and profit pulling resource box.

One of the ways to do this is to tell a fib in your resource box.

How to FIB in Your Article Resource Box

You just need to know and use these 3 points:

Flow - You want to make sure your resource box flows out of your article. The biggest mistake I see article writers make is to start the resource box with their name. You might as well tell the reader the article is over and they can go home now.

Invite - Think in terms of an invitation, and invite your reader back to your web site or blog for more information. This is not a hard sell "go here now or you will starve" kind of thing. If you have done your job well in the article, the reader is now beginning to know, like and trust you, and you are going to invite them to learn more information from you.

Brand - Then and only then do you want to mention your name and your brand, to make sure the reader pairs the great information with your name and brand. I'll usually say something like "From Jeff Herring - The Internet Article Guy.....etc."

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you tell a FIB in your article resource box to get more prospects from your article marketing.
