Powerful Article Marketing - Announcing 5 Rewarding Secrets to Increase Your Article Marketing

Article marketing, which is considered one of the most dependable marketing solutions these days, requires a lot of dedication, determination, perseverance, and impeccable writing skills not only to succeed in this technique, but most importantly survive the stiff competition online.

1. Write to inform and not to impress. Forget your urge to use big words or boast about your knowledge and expertise. Remember, your content shouldn't be about you. It's should be about information that are needed by your target market that can help them to either solve their pressing issues or widen their knowledge about their areas of interest.

2. Make your articles interesting to read. Steer clear from using boring writing styles and aim to make it entertaining for readers to digest the information you are trying to get across. Insert humorous text or ask thought-provoking questions once in a while to make your content engaging.

3. Check your information and make sure they are all fact-based. You are writing to inform thus, it is very important that the information you communicate through your articles are valid and well-founded. This is to make sure that you won't mislead your readers and hurt your online credibility.

4. Be direct to the point. Too much introductions or beating around the bush can overkill your content. Present your ideas upfront and give your readers what they truly want without wasting their time. You will be surely appreciated for doing so.

5. Ask for feedback or suggestions. Before you post your articles online, have them read by your friends or other article writers. These people can give you objective feedback that can help you improve your article content.

Optimize Your Web Pages for Highest Adsense Returns

Web page optimization for AdSense is not as easy as you may think, just picking the highest paying keyword in the hope of getting a truck load of click through' s on that particular keyword will not suffice.

Meta Keywords:

You will have to take into consideration meta keywords, whilst having little bearing they do have an influence on the relevancy of the ads going to be placed on your web page. Try to make it as easy as possible for the web crawlers to understand what your web page is about.

Meta description:

Attracting traffic from the search engines is down to your meta description. This is shown after the title text in the SERPs (search engine results page) and has a direct influence on the CTR to your website. Obviously you will have to write a description that will attract the right audience.

Title Tag:

Keywords appearing in the title tag can have a great influence on the relevancy of the ads being placed on your web page. Depending on your optimization approach you can either go with high paying keywords to place in the title tag, or if it is traffic you are after go for lower paying keywords to attract a greater amount of visitors. Remember the title tag is usually visible in the title text of the SERPs and has a direct influence on the CTR to your website.

Headings:

Highlighting your web page content with H1, H2 and H3 headings is of great importance. The sub heading of a web page gives credence to the content on your web page. This has a direct bearing on the displaying ads for your web page.

Keywords in Content:

Using keywords in your content also influences what type of ads will be displayed on your web page. The thing to remember here is don' t mislead the ad bots with too many keywords. Try to keep an even keel in regards to keywords in your content. Humans after all have to make sense of it as well.

You will have to take into consideration many factors to be able to optimize your web pages for highest AdSense return. This will include your meta keywords, meta description, title tags, headings and of course web page content. This may sound a daunting task but help in this and many other aspects of web page optimization are further discussed at the web site below.

Landing Pages Increase Conversions

What is a Conversion?

Conversions are what website owners are want. Different websites have different purposes. Each website owner will consider a success to occur when a visitor takes a desired action. This is called a conversion.

For information sites a conversion might be a visitor signing up for a newsletter by providing an E-mail address. For e-Commerce sites a conversion is probably a sale, but could also be registering for a product update. Each type of site will have its own distinct conversion that is desired.

Tracking these conversions is essential to truly understanding the productivity of websites. We won't get into conversion tracking in this article. However, please note that this is a critical aspect of truly understanding the success of any website.

Buying Signs

My background is sales and sales management. In classes that I teach I am often asked about the buying signs of a potential customer, what they are and how to look for them.

Quite often these buying signs are presented to the salesperson in the form of a question. "Does this come in blue?" "Can I take this home today?" For larger items you might hear, "Do you offer a delivery service?" Each of these questions assumes the sale and moves beyond the close stage.

Internet Buying Signs

Internet sales also have buying signs. They differ on the type of site you have but they do exist. You simply need to listen to your customers/visitors to find out what they are.

For information sites, they may be related to your blog or newsletter. "How do I get your newsletter?" "Is your newsletter weekly?" "How do I sign up for your blog?"

For e-Commerce sites you might here, "Do you offer free shipping?" Do you have anything for under $50?" "I am a size XL. Do you have shirts in my size?"

All of these questions assume the sale and move beyond the close. In the mind of the buyer, they are mostly sold. A large part of the work is done. You just need to get them to your site and give them the answers to their questions.

How do you get them to your site? By providing them landing pages that are optimized to answer their questions.

Landing Pages are not Home Pages

You only have one home page per site. This is the page that is displayed when the main URL is entered. Landing pages are totally separate pages, sometimes they are included in the site navigation but often times they are only accessible by direct entry of their specific URL.

A lot of sites have a Frequently Asked Question page or section. This is a great source for keyword phrases for landing pages. If you have a popular FAQ that gets a lot of traffic. You probably have a great opportunity to create a very popular landing page.

Other sources for suggestions for landing pages might be your AdWords reports, Google Analytics or Google Webmaster Tools if you are using any of these services. They key here is to know what your visitors/customers are looking for and create optimized landing pages to capitalize on these phrases.

Keyword Phrases Hold the Key to Landing Page Success

In the examples used above we used buyer's questions to illustrate our point. Take these questions and create optimized landing pages to answer the questions.

"Do you offer free shipping?" Create a landing page that is optimized to show that you offer free shipping. Optimize the answer in the way your visitor/customer will ask the question. If you are selling golf shirts you would create a landing page for "Golf Shirts Free Shipping"

"Do you have anything under $50?" If you are selling golf shirts you would create an optimized landing page for "Golf Shirts Under $50"

"I am an XL. Do you have anything in my size?" Using our golf shirt example again you would create a optimized landing page for "XL Golf Shirts".

One very important point to note is that by creating these 3 landing pages you are also greatly enhancing your status with the search engines. Not only are you providing them with a more accurate search result for their organic search you are also optimizing your entire site and your home page to rank better for your main keyword. In this case the keyword "Golf Shirt" is enhanced by the addition of the the extra landing pages, each optimized for a keyword phrase including the words "Golf Shirt".

Landing Pages Bring Qualified Visitors

Pick keyword phrases that answer their questions and bring in qualified visitors and customers. If someone is looking for a golf shirt under $50 you want them to find you. With an optimized landing page they will certainly have a better chance of seeing your site. Once they do and they click on your link you will now have a much better qualified visitor than if you were to rank well just for "golf shirts" as a whole.

Besides, there are over 2,580,000 results for "golf shirts" on Google tonight. There are only 122,000 results for "golf shirts under $50". There are only 172,000 returns for "golf shirts free shipping" and 153,00 for "xl golf shirts". So, where do you think you have a better chance of showing up in the results?

Does this Actually Work?

Three weeks ago I optimized landing pages for some keyword phrases for a new site of ours. This site did not rank in the top 100 for 2 of the keyword phrases that I wanted to target. (If you are not in the top 30 you probably will never be seen by someone searching for their answer.)

I optimized a single page for each of the 2 phrases that I wanted to target. I used articles taken from free article directories to create the pages. I included product images and links to add content. The pages had optimized page titles, headings and I used capitalization to highlight the keyword phrases. Once completed I submitted a new sitemap to Google.

Two weeks later I check Google and found that our site now ranked #11 for one of the phrases and # 9 for the other. Our Google Analytics tool also showed an increase in traffic because of these keyword phrases, our landing pages were receiving good traffic and our largest sale this year occurred because of these efforts.

Is this Worth the Effort? Absolutely.

Take your site beyond a simple FAQ page. Use your visitor's questions to find the keyword phrases to optimize new landing pages. Use these pages to bring targeted and qualified visitors to your site. Once their, your conversions will increase along with your profits.

Optimized landing pages have long been a piece of the SEO puzzle many people forget. Nathan Lewis has used them to elevate the search engine rankings for sites such as: CJ Gift Baskets, CJ Picnic Baskets and CJ Outdoor World.

Keyword Elite Review

Keyword Elite is a professional tool for keyword research. Many claim it is actually the best available. It was developed by Brad Calle, a well-known marketer and SEM expert. Keyword Elite is not inexpensive. With a price tagged at $176, it is a rather costy piece of software. Let's see if it's worth the bucks.

There are mainly 5 options to choose from when you start Keyword Elite.

Feature 1 - Analyze Pay Per Click Listings - Let you find low-cost and high to moderate traffic keywords that are considered to make you money.

Feature 2 - Create A Keyword List - This feature allows you to build a keyword list up to 60,000 in one session.

Feature 3 - Select A Keyword List - Quickly grab your keyword lists and prepare it for your Adwords campaigns and page builder software - With just a couple clicks you're done.

Feature 4 - Analyze Keyword Competition - Allows you to quickly see how hard it will be to rank well for a specific search term. You can easily see if your competition is ranked well by "accident", or if they're going to be tough to outrank. This can save you days of wasted research time.

Feature 5 - Spy on Adwords Competition - Gives you the capability to track which keywords, and how long your competitors are bidding on them in Google Adwords. Then, take that list of guaranteed profitable keywords and plug them into your own Adwords campaign.

Conclusion:

I have been using Keyword Elite ever since it was released and never regret it. The keyword research features and featured tools are amazing and would cost plenty more if sold separately. This piece of software made my affiliate-marketers life much easier. Definitively a must-have!

Article Marketing - 4 Big Steps to Advance With Article Marketing

Most webmasters are looking for ways on how they can promote their websites without spending too much but still get the kind of traffic that will bring them huge profit. Article marketing is considered one of the most effective ways in promoting your products and driving organic traffic to your website without shelling out your precious dimes. As such, it is one of the most used marketing strategies by webmasters these days.

If you are currently using this technique but still want to improve the number you are getting in terms of profit and traffic, these 4 big steps will help you advance in article marketing:

1. Write more articles. The quantity of your articles plays a major role in the success of your article marketing campaign. Simply because, each submission grants you one quality back link to your website. Thus, the number of your articles dictates the number of your backlinks.

2. Post your articles to paid submission sites. If you are willing to spend money on this technique, you can do so by joining paid submission sites. These sites allow you to put HTML codes on the body of your articles. In addition, they post your articles quicker because they put them on high priority.

3. Get article submission software. Submitting your articles manually can take a lot of time. If you want to focus on writing articles, I strongly suggest that you get article submission software that will electronically distribute your articles to over 200 submission sites in just few clicks.

4. Permit other online users and webmasters to use your articles. Provided they post your website link on their site. This can lead to massive distribution of your articles that can result to even great exposure for you and your products.

Article Marketing Tips - Where To Post Your Articles

If you have decided to use article marketing as a way to promote your website you may be wondering where you should post your articles and if you should bother using the hundreds of article directories on the internet.

Traffic is the lifeblood of any business on the internet and using articles to promote your website is definitely one of the best ways of generating highly targeted visitors for free.

Although writing articles is hard work and time consuming the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages but to make it work you need to know where to post your articles for maximum traffic.

If your main objective is to gain thousands of one way links pointing to your website in order to improve your search engine rankings for a certain keyword you will need to submit your articles to as many article directories as you can to achieve maximum exposure.

Many article directories on the internet do not necessarily generate a lot of traffic for your website but if they have a high page rank (such as PR 4 or PR 5) you will definitely want a one way link from them as they will improve your rankings as well as help your website get indexed quicker by the search engines.

But if your main objective is to actually generate traffic in order to collect subscribers for your opt in list you will only need to submit your articles to a few of the best article directories that receive the majority of visitors.

By far the best article directory which generates the most traffic is called Ezine Articles but there is one other which you should also use which is called Go Articles. If you only submit your articles to these two you will attract a lot of visitors to your website and collect a lot of subscribers.

So deciding where to post your articles really depends on what your actual objective is and whether you want to improve your search engine rankings or just generate traffic. Of course you can always decide to do both.

Posting your articles to hundreds of article directories takes a huge amount of time so if you do want to improve your search engine rankings you should consider using an article submitter that will automatically post your articles to all of the main article directories on the internet.

The more exposure your articles get the more likely they will be seen by other website owners and ezine publishers who are looking for content and if your articles are good they will be used on their websites and in their ezines which can result in a sudden surge of subscribers and sales.

Tripping SEO Traps

The contract arrived and read in part, "A keyword density of 10 percent in required." The writer who had originally agreed to craft an article based on a keyword let out a low whistle as a mental image of the finished product assaulted his good sense.

In a five hundred word article this would mean the keyword would be used fifty times. That's not bad if the keyword is 'the', but for a product keyword or phrase this is called 'keyword stuffing'. The practice is not limited to online content.

In the end, an article with a keyword density that high does not connect well with readers. You may ask yourself why someone would request an article like this. The answer is simple - the belief that this approach helps them achieve higher rankings in search engines. The truth is this article will eventually be detected as spamming and will cause the overall site to be penalized for the 'get rich quick' mentality that requested the article.

Keyword stuffing is also a problem in Meta title information and other descriptions. When you compromise the message of your website to get visitors to your site, it is possible that your site will not have anything relevant to say to your visitor because it reads like a foreign language or broken record.

Perhaps it is a lack of patience, but there are many online businesses that can't seem to wait for legitimate SEO strategies to take effect. Many of these individuals will spend hundreds of dollars with SEO firms that promise top ten listings. What many of these 'businesses' do is find a search term nobody is using (and may not even be related to your product or service) and optimize your website through Meta titles and other html language to ensure that an often bizarre term comes up first in the search engines when that exact term is used. If you're asking yourself how this helps, you have just asked a very good question.

The old adage that there is "no such thing as a free lunch" is true in site optimization strategies. The proper strengthening of your site position takes time, instruction and a deference to honorable SEO techniques that result in positive long-term rankings. By taking this approach you will also find that your site visitors will have the best opportunity to take your site, products and services seriously.

Techniques like 'keyword stuffing' are generally a turn-off to both search engines as well as visitors. In the end what use is increased site traffic if you have little substance to sustain the visit and maintain the long-term connection with potential clients.

Earn Cash Writing Articles - Easy as 1-2-3

Article writing is as easy as 1-2-3!
1) The opening paragraph gives your qualifications or grabs the reader and almost compels him or her to read further.
2) Your article will contain just two or three facts.
-Fact 1) Perfect grammar is not a necessity.
-Fact 2) The number of words in the typical article.
-Fact 3) Separate each paragraph.
3) The closing paragraph summarizes the article and provides a link to your site.

Many people are reluctant to write articles because they think it's too difficult. That's nonsense. Article writing is actually quite easy once you know the three-step formula (above). Others are reluctant to write because they do poorly with grammar or spelling. Do you need to use perfect grammar in your articles? Certainly not, but some sites will refuse to print your work if it is riddled with errors. Fortunately, there is a way around this for those that are grammatically challenged. Most of the word processors available today come with a spelling AND grammar checker. You should make full use of both of these features.

The ideal article contains just 500-600 words. Many submission sites will not accept articles with less than 500 words and will refuse those with more than 1000 words. In addition, it is sometimes difficult to keep a reader's interest if it is over 700 or 800 words. (They didn't come to the site to read a novel.) For that reason, I try to make sure that all of my articles have around 500 words.

Break your article up into a number of different paragraphs and separate each one by a space. This makes your article more pleasing to the eye. This is important because your readers will make his or her first judgment about your article based on the way it looks. And like anything else, you want your reader to have a good first impression.

Your first paragraph or two should tell the reader about your qualifications or entice him or her to read further. This is called 'the hook'. In this piece, we are using a "hook" instead of the qualifications. Our hook lets the reader know that there is a formula to writing articles and we will divulge this information in the article.

The next paragraph or two should discuss the facts, information, or points you wish to make. Each of these paragraphs should discuss the benefits as well as features. The benefits will grab the reader and let him know why it is important to him.

Close the article with an offer for more information by clicking your link. I prefer to use a free information offer as many more people will click through for a free report. If instead, you ask readers to: 'Visit our site for more information,' only about one third as many readers will click through. For that reason, I prefer the following: For more information on the subject, download our FREE REPORT at YOUR-SITE-NAME.

Article Marketing 101 - How Business Owners Can Use It To Their Benefit

Article marketing is quickly becoming one of the absolute best ways for business owners, both large and small, to drive traffic to their website, and also increase their sales exponentially with this method of virtual advertising.

If you haven't yet taken advantage of this simple but effective means of promoting your business using the internet as an invaluable resource, read on to learn how article marketing can increase your sales and help you to quickly make a name for yourself.

What Exactly is Article Marketing?

Article marketing, metaphorically speaking, is like a virtual billboard that has the potential of reaching millions upon millions of people with just a few clicks of a mouse button. Literally, the practice involves publishing keyword-rich, informative articles on any number of article syndication sites with links back to your website. Also, it's a rather cost effective means of advertising, as the majority of sites require no fees for posting content.

Know Your Audience

The tone and general theme of your articles should be tailored to the specific audience you are trying to reach. If your company is marketing closet organizers, for example, you'll then want content to appeal to homeowners or businesses who would have a need for such an item. If you're an affiliate of a company selling products for treating acne, you will want to ensure your articles are geared toward those who are suffering from acne, or at least know someone who is.

People turn to the internet for quick answers and information they can depend on, which leads us to the next key aspect of article marketing: providing content that is reliable and always on point.

Provide Useful, Relevant Material

Although the savvy business owner will want to keep aspects such as search engine optimization (SEO) in the forefront of their mind, the articles you'll be distributing to market your company or product must also be readable and interesting as well as ranked favorably amongst search engine results.

Most article marketing sites have specific guidelines in place that must be adhered to in order to be accepted and listed on the site. Articles that are poorly written or full of errors are likely to be rejected, and even if they aren't, who would want that type of material representing their business, anyway? Ensure that your information is factual and free from plagiarism or typographical errors before attaching your name and submitting to article directories and syndication sites.

Submit Your Articles and Spread the Word

Depending on the website, some will allow you to embed hyperlinks throughout your article, linking visitors to your site, while others state that links should be included at the end of the article in what's referred to as the resource box. Here you can list pertinent information in addition to the link to your website, such as the contact person's name, email address, telephone and fax numbers, as well as how long the author has been an expert in this field, or how long your company has been in operation.

Providing some accurate background lends a sense of authenticity to the article and shows that a real person is behind the company or product that's being marketed.

Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 5 Intriguing Methods to Jumpstart Your Article Marketing

If you are seriously thinking of using articles marketing to drive traffic to your site, pull up your search engine ranking, establish your expertise in your chosen field, and generate more income, you need to uncover these 5 intriguing methods so you can jumpstart your article marketing:

1. Make sure that you only submit original content. Copying somebody else's work in article marketing is a big no-no. This will not only tarnish your credibility online, but you will also be penalized by major search engines.

2. Target human emotions when writing your article. Instead of focusing your efforts on logical reasoning, touch your readers' emotions by pushing their buttons. How? If you are selling diet pills, focus on how weight gain affects the confidence and social life of your readers.

3. Keep your paragraphs shorter. Ideally, you should explain one idea on every paragraph. As a writer, you must be able to explain that idea in 4-5 sentences. You can easily do that by finding the most appropriate words to get your message across and eliminating fillers and fancy words to make your paragraph direct to the point and brief.

4. Provide your readers with useful information. Make sure that the content of your articles contain information that are highly relevant to your readers. If they are facing problems, be sure to offer solution. When you do this, online users will appreciate your writing and you will build a huge following in no time.

5. Make every word count. When you are using fillers and other unnecessary words on your articles, you are wasting your readers' precious time. To make your readers feel that you value their time, strike out words that do not help you in getting your message across.

Make Money with Articles by Using Free Articles Directories

Amongst the many ways of making money with articles, the use of free articles directories is one of the best. Free article directories are websites that house free articles and a simple Google search for "free article directories" revealed 210,000 entries.

Articles are usually placed on these sites by whoever owns the copyright to them as a way of making money with articles with a proven promotion method. Each article has the owners resource box placed under it so that those who eventually read the article will know who wrote it (or at least who owns it).

The article resource box contains your name and a brief bio plus at least one link back to your site or affiliate link. Some of the free article directories will allow you up to three links, which is even better. Thus readers of your article will be able to get in contact with or visit your website for further information.

Articles directories are a great place to put your articles so that they will make you money. By using this method, people who are interested in your product or service will see your article, view you as an expert in the subject, and will visit your website. Even if you cannot write or do not have any knowledge on the subject on which you are promoting (for example if you run an affiliate website), you can always hire a writer to do the work for you.

On the downside, getting quality articles written by a ghostwriter will be expensive to start with, but they will pay for themselves in no time, either through affiliate sales or sales of your own services. After that everything is then pure profit.

An Example:

If you want to think about this as an example; imagine that you are a career coach working from home and you could use some more clients. You write an article on a coaching related topic and submit it to various article directories. People who are looking for information related to the the subject you wrote about will read your article, see that you have the knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail. Your article has just gained you a new client who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once.

Furthermore, since you have posted it on a free article directory, others who have affiliate websites related to coaching will almost certainly use your article for their website. Since they must attach your resource box to it, this will bring you even more exposure for every website that re-posts your article and you will benefit from the traffic that they get to their website.

There are numerous article directories out there for you to utilize. Your best bet is to put a copy of each of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. It will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new orders and more profit. This is one of the simplest ways to make money with articles by using free articles directories.

SEO Optimization - Get Key word Density Just Right

It has always been about being noticed. People dress well or do something bizarre in order to be noticed or make a statement. To get ahead in life or business one needs to be at the top, first in line. Now more often than not, the World Wide Web to functions along the same principles.

With tough competition between websites, articles, and e-commerce sites what makes one more successful than others is the position a site gets on search engines. The higher the ranking the larger the number of hits or traffic to the site. To achieve a higher position websites use the strategy of SEO optimization and content is written such that it is key word dense.

It is not as simple as using words repeatedly you need to know which keywords are relevant to your website and pages. Once you have a master list ensure that :

Match keyword tag with content. Ensure that the keyword meta tag has around 900 characters or 25 words.

Ensure that the keyword density in between 3-10% . And, avoid using the same word more than once in a sentence. Check keyword validators to determine the exact density percentage.

Try and maximize use in the top half of the page. Many search engine spiders do not go beyond 25-50%.

Be smart and spell your keywords with variations and also include plurals.

Go one step ahead and make use of a keyword density checker. This is an automated system that will comb through your web content and highlight words used in higher density. The system will enable you to perfect your pages and provide what search engines or spiders want.

A Keyword Density Cloud see http://www.webconfs.com/keyword-density-checker.php can be used effectively to crawl selected URLs, analyze word density, and remove common stop words. The tool can be added to your website and fulfil a vital role in SEO optimization.

It is all about knowing how to gather your audience or customers and the keyword density checker or cloud can help you through several stumbling blocks. The golden rules of SEO are: keyword density, keyword frequency, keyword prominence, and keyword proximity.

The basic rule of thumb is to know what are the keywords your potential customers are likely to use. Key words must not be random but relevant to your line of business. The trick is to strike a balance neither too many nor too little. Too many can get your site banned and too little means you get lower rankings and your wonderful site goes unnoticed.

So, while sticking to your marketing plan and focus take a moment to take care of web content and its many nuances. Make content meaningful and relevant, find out the most important words that will be used to find what your site has to offer (put yourself in the users shoes). And construct content using all the golden rules and keys mentioned above. If you tread the right path success in the World Wide Web will be yours.

Article Marketing - Discover 3 High Impact Ways to Improve Your Article Marketing

With so many entrepreneurs going online, making a mark in the internet arena becomes more and more challenging. As a marketer, you need to find effective ways so people will notice you and consider purchasing from you.

One of the best ways to advertise your business these days is through writing and submitting your articles online. You can write about your chosen niche, the problems that are affecting your target market, your products, and your business to communicate your specialized knowledge. When people see you as someone who is a great source of information, they will surely click on your resource box and they will instantly become your potential clients.

Here are the 3 high impact ways to improve your article marketing:

1. Consider your readers. Keep your potential clients when writing your articles. What do they want to see on your content? What are the problems they are currently experiencing and what solutions can you offer? Are there questions that they need to be answered to better understand their current situation? How do they want the information to be presented? The more you know about your readers, the more effective you will become in writing content that is targeted to their needs and demands.

2. Be productive. One of the best ways to succeed in article marketing is to multiply the number of your articles. Why? Because the more articles you write and submit, the more quality inbound links you can obtain for your website. That would literally mean more traffic and improved sales potential for you.

Here's the Missing Link to Article Marketing Success - Hint: It's Not What You May Think

One key part of being successful in article marketing is having somewhere for your readers to go once they've read your article. The link included in your resource box is one of the most valuable parts of the article marketing process because it brings you all the benefits everyone craves:

  • more subscribers

  • more traffic to Web sites and blogs

  • higher sales of products and services

  • influence and respect in chosen industry/niche

That is all great, but if you don't have a link at the bottom of your article where people can find out more about you there's really no point in writing and distributing the article at all.

In fact, this one key element having a Web site is a major barrier to some people who want to gain access to all the great benefits of article marketing but just don't have the time, money or expertise to publish their own Web site.

I found a solution to this problem and it's one of the easiest and most hassle-free ways I've found to implement the last piece in the article marketing puzzle.

*** Create a blog. ***

You can use the URL or web link, from the blog you create and put it into your articles. This is actually better than a normal Web site because people can leave comments on your blog. This shows that people are engaged and interested in what you're saying and offering.

It is very easy to do. And it costs you absolutely nothing.

  1. Visit www.blogger.com I've used this service to create several blogs and it's always been a hassle-free experience for me. Each year they make the service easier and easier to use.

  2. Follow their steps for creating a no-cost account on their service. Blogger makes it very easy to create one of these. All you really need to do is just follow the steps they tell you and you're done. You don't need a programmer or a techie person to help you out with this one.

  3. Enter information about your business in the blog. I suggest posting short, informative pieces of information about you and your business. I call them mini-article. You can also post your full articles on the site as well. If you have a large group of articles like I do, you may want too space out those articles and only post a few a week.

  4. Place the URL from the blog you just created in the resource box that you include in each of your articles. OK, if you're wondering what a URL is, it's very simple. It's the Web address that Blogger.com will give you for your site.

After completing these easy steps you'll have no barriers to entering article marketing.

Let's review:

Here's what you put in:

  • writing an article

  • distributing to article directories

  • creating a blog for link-backs

    • Cumulative cost: $0

Here's what you get out:

  • larger list of subscribers

  • more influence in your industry

  • more visitors and comments on your blog

    • Value: Priceless

Keep in mind: Blogs are better because they allow others to say how great your articles are. When new visitors come to your site they'll be influenced by previous comments and leave good words of their own. Once you have this set up you'll be able to concentrate fully on writing info-packed articles that truly benefit your target audience/niche.

This isn't a commercial for Blogger.com, but it really is the easiest way to set up a blog. If you want to try out a few other services consider: www.wordpress.org

I use Word Press for one of my other blogs and I like them, too. I did need a bit of help setting this one up. But in the end it was well worth it. See for yourself: http://www.articlemarketingformula.com/blog

Do, What, Who, Or Why Write, Submit, And To Who?

Repeatedly, I hear website owners should write articles. I also hear "build the list". Manually, I click on emails saying drive traffic to your site, get this free report". I advised to link things here, and back link there, send out newsletters, get a solid product, get google adsense, buy ads, and have affiliates, wow!

Blinking through the multitude of meaningful advice, I ask myself what is the one thing do I need to do, if only one thing, mindful of task, clean and simple, do I do? Alternatively, try it this way: In order to increase traffic or business to my site/product, what one thing do I do that works? Answer: Write. What do I write? Answer: Articles. Simple answers do not necessarily mean simple solutions, but in this case, writing articles and article distribution is a simple task, relatively easy to implement, with potential immeasurable rewards.

I am going to assume I just finished my first article, and know if my guts it is a good article. Now what? Keeping it dead-on simple, I know need to employ the mysterious tactic of article distribution. It really is not that mysterious after all, as I see distribution involves the use of websites known as article directories. There a large collection of articles is hosted, and categorized according to topic.

Naturally, the topic of my article will be most important in its proper handling within the directory. It also follows that my article, with an appropriate topic, related as directly as possible to my website and/or product I am selling. Now I am ready to consider, one last time, the content of my article. Since I have a product that I believe in, I will include in my article the special key features of my product. My website, with a ready-available link, will have the full details of my product.

Part of the mystery of article distribution is that More is Not Better. If a good article makes circulation, it is my natural inclination to think I should submit 150, in one week, and really round-up some traffic! A reasonable goal is five per month. In this manner, new, updated, fresh information is available to customers to read and absorb. Writing articles is a simple, relatively easy, conscientious, and reliable tactic to attract traffic to a business, especially if done on a consistent basis.

Three Keys to Search Engine Kingdom

Search Engines can be a digital netherworld - complex, mysterious, and protected. But like in the movie, The Matrix, no system is failsafe. Breaking the "code" of the search engines will reap great rewards. Here are three keys to the kingdom:

1. Search Engine Optimization - One of your main goals is to have your site be seen and correctly interpreted by the search engine spiders. This is key if you want your site to be ranked near the top of searches. In order to do so you first need a dense keyword base. Make sure your keywords relate to your site and you pick good phrases and words that people use to search your product or service. You also want your Meta tags (information on the content of your webpage) to be well structured and related to your site. Having your site come up for the wrong searches will not draw attention to your site. Another option for site optimization is to hire a professional to help you rise in the search engine rankings. There are tricks of the trade that informed webmasters know that can save you months of trial and error, and achieve your goals faster. The money spent is a good return on your investment.

2. Search Engine Submission - There are tons of search engines on the web like Google, MSN, Yahoo, and DMOZ that you can submit your site for listings. It is simple, easy and effective. Using Google as an example, go to the Add URL site, then type in your web address, any comments and click "Add URL". Now your site is being spidered by Google, accessible to net surfers. Keep in mind, the more search engines you submit your site the better the chances for visits on your homepage. A few words caution - watch out for websites claiming to submit your homepage to several thousand search engines. Often times these are scams and only submit your site to fake link pages which could get you banned from the true search engines. You want a search engine that will submit only to the major directories and search engines.

3. Link Popularity - The more visits you get to your site, the higher your search engine ranking will be. One of the best ways to do so is to have a blog and update it at least once a week. Link the blog to your site and vice versa. You can also send articles and press releases to directories like EzineArticles who will publish your work on other sites and return the links back to you. Another good way to attract more traffic would be to join the social web. Sites like Digg, De.licio.us, etc will help promote your site through bookmarking.

Knowledge Is Your Most Valuable Marketing Tool

Without a doubt, knowledge is your most valuable marketing tool. It is the essential and necessary element needed to succeed in any marketing venture. This holds especially true for Internet Marketing.

The right marketing knowledge will save you time, money and a whole lot of stress.

But where does one acquire such knowledge? Where does one find the necessary information you need to market successfully online? And just HOW does one go about acquiring such knowledge?

Internet marketing is a relatively new field. The Internet itself is a relatively new phenomenon, created within the living memory of most of the people reading this article. Most of its now common features... search engines, online stores, email, websites, blogging... are all new inventions for our glorious cyber age.

Take for example, one of the Net's major players Google; it has only been crawling and searching the Net since 1998 -- who would have believed an 8 year-old could wheel so much power and influence?

Other players such as Amazon, Yahoo, Ebay, MSN... are all just new kids on the block when compared to the long history of marketing.

Like any industry, business or field of study, Internet Marketing has produced its own experts. People who have mastered the art of web marketing from first-hand experiences, lessons learnt and drawn from the trenches -- the most trustworthy of all knowledge. Valuable knowledge they can use again and again to market their wares online.

This knowledge has become a valuable marketing tool for those who have mastered the skills of the trade. It can quickly turn any website into a profitable endeavor, producing income 24/7/365.

Nor should this knowledge be seen as anything magical. Knowledge in any field can produce wealth; think of all the fine craftsmen and artists of old who had to learn a skill and knowledge to produce great priceless pieces of art. Think of the cabbies of London who must acquire the Knowledge of the routes around London in order to make a living.

For that matter, think of any modern profession and you will have to acquire the proper knowledge in order to practice your trade or profession. Internet Marketing is no different. You must acquire the skills and knowledge to market successfully online.

But the question still remains, where does one acquire this knowledge, the real marketing tool you need to succeed online?

One source would surely have to be the experts. Who else will know the answers but the present day Top Internet Marketers? But who are these people? What are their names?

If you surf the web, no doubt you have come in contact with these marketers. Directly or indirectly their handiwork is everywhere. Their ideas, methods, and marketing techniques have influenced most of the sites on the web.

Many of better known ones even have mentoring programs to train and teach their protgs. Acquiring the knowledge could just be a matter of hooking up with one of these so-called marketing gurus.

Where are these elusive creatures hiding? Who are they?

If you're new to Internet Marketing, one good place to start is this site: www.gurudaq.com, it lists some of the major marketers on the web. All these Internet Marketers have opt-in lists and ezines which you can join to get first-hand tips and advice.
